A black-and-white cat was brought to Community Cat Club when her owner sadly passed away. What was meant to be a short transition turned into a prolonged journey searching for her forever home.

Despite her circumstances, her adorable toothy grin never faded. At around ten years old, the cat was laid-back, lovable, and adored being brushed.

She had a knack for bringing smiles to faces and lighting up every room she graced.

“She is a companion cat; she just wants to be near you, purring and getting pets. She loves to follow her people around and smile with that toothy little grin,” Community Cat Club shared.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months as she waited for the right family to come along.

After half a year with no interest, they moved Vali, the cat, from her foster home to the adoption center, hoping she would attract more attention. Vali stayed by the glass window, watching as people continuously passed her by.

Taking matters into her own paws, she began greeting visitors with chirps and tapping on the glass repeatedly for attention and pets.

With the help of social media, Vali was adopted about a week later, but the adoption was short-lived.

Two months later, she found herself back at the rescue, starting over from square one. “Unfortunately, her new home just wasn’t the one for her. Her family tried to make it work, but it seems that Vali would very much prefer to be in a home with no other animals.”

The moment she was back in her foster home, she settled beside her carers, basking in their company. She purred and chirped throughout the day and stuck close to her people, never leaving their side.

“She is seriously the coolest cat. She loves every human she meets, no matter the age. She has the loudest purr you’ll ever hear and loves a good cuddle session.”

A few months later, Vali left the rescue once more, hopeful that this new home would be forever. However, life threw her another curve ball through no fault of her own.

“She has been through a lot over the last few years. She got adopted again but was returned to us because her adopter was unable to keep her in their current living situation.”

“Despite all she’s been through, Vali is still the sweetest girl and has acclimated quickly to her foster home.”

Now at 12 years old, Vali never ceased to offer companionship, purrs, and chirps, always in good spirits. She shadowed her humans around, carrying her signature grin wherever she went.

“She is constantly giving us her very best smile in hopes it’ll win someone over and they’ll adopt her.”

Vali never frowned so long as she had people by her side. Dreaming of her happily ever after, she cherished every moment with them. Volunteers were determined to find Vali her forever home.

Finally, this week, 2.5 years after she first came to the rescue, Vali met her dream family. Her new parents saw she would be a perfect fit for their home and welcomed her in with open arms.

Vali is overjoyed to be their one and only, lounging on the couch with them and purring up a storm.

She’s quickly discovered the cat TV by the window, where she watches little critters and neighbors and basks in the warm sunlight.

“She is already making herself at home. We’re so happy for this girl and her new parents.”
